About Us
Benchmark Atlantic Healthcare, Inc.was established in 2002 as a durable medical equipment company. It refined it’s focus in 2004 to cater to After Breast Surgery and Compression Therapy Products and Fitting Services as well as Orthopedic Supports and Therapeutic Footwear. It became Nationally Accredited by The American Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) as an O & P Facility in 2005.
Cathy Boll owns and operates Benchmark Atlantic Healthcare, Inc. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University, married for 23 years with 3 grown sons. It was through the experience of her sister-in-law’s diagnosis of breast cancer, that she discovered the essential need for a women’s health boutique in her hometown of Crystal Lake, Illinois and the surrounding areas. The medical equipment company her husband had founded in 2002 refined its focus to cater to After Breast Surgery and Compression Therapy Products and Fitting Services to serve the residents of their community and the surrounding areas. She became Board Certified as a Mastectomy Fitter by the Board of Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics in 2005 and a Registered Mastectomy Fitter with the American Board of Certification of Orthotics and Prosthetics. She also has been trained and certified as a Compression Therapy Fitter through the leading manufacturers of compression garments.
Benchmark’s qualified staff hold individual certifications with the American Board of Certification in Orthotics & Prosthetics (ABC) and are Board Certified by the Board of Certification (BOC). Joseph Wheeler has been with Benchmark since 2004. He is a Licensed Orthotist and Board Certified with BOC and ABC. Peter Boll is an ABC Registered Orthotic Fitter and Cathy Boll is an ABC Registered Mastectomy Fitter and Board Certified with BOC. By meeting the industry’s highest level of standards we are qualified to offer our clients effective, medically tested and reliable products while providing the highest level of care.

Meet Our Staff
Marcia Kennelly is on staff at Benchmark Atlantic. She is a 13 year breast cancer survivor and co-founder of the Barrington Area Y-ME Open Door Support Group at Good Shepherd Hospital.
The Y-ME mission of ensuring that “no one faces breast cancer alone” is a personal goal for Marcia that has been met through her involvement with Y-ME, and now with Benchmark Atlantic. She also has had 7 years of former work experience at an Orthotic & Prosthetic Facility.
Marcia has successfully completed two fitter training seminars as part of the requirements to become a Board Certified Mastectomy Fitter. She has also just completed the extensive training to be a certified technician for the Radiant Impressions Custom Breast Prosthesis.
LYNN ASHLEY
Lynn Ashley comes, to Benchmark Atlantic’s billing department, with 20 years experience in office management combined with 11 years in medical insurance billing. She formerly worked in the billing department of an O&P Facility. As most all of us, she too has been personally touched by breast cancer through her mother and two aunts. Her satisfaction comes from knowing that by working at Benchmark she can help others who already have so many things on their mind, by completing the insurance process. Lynn feels “it is a pleasure to work in a truly tranquil atmosphere where the client feels completely comfortable the moment they step in the door.”

Insurance
It is a high value of Benchmark Atlantic to be able to help our clients receive insurance coverage for their products. We have implemented an in-house insurance billing department. We offer to file claims for our clients and have the insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid reimburse Benchmark Atlantic. Deductibles and co-pays are collected from the client according to their individual policy. We are currently contracted with Blue Cross Blue Shield, PHCS, Medicare and Medicaid.
